Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Hrestro. They define what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the Hrestro admin dashboard, setting up a digital menu, or using any part of the Hrestro platform ("Service"), you ("Restaurant Owner", "User") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including restaurant owners, administrators, and any person accessing menus published via Hrestro.

2. What Hrestro Provides

Hrestro is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform designed for restaurant owners. Our Service includes:

  • Digital QR Menu: A scannable, mobile-friendly digital menu accessible by your customers via unique restaurant URLs.
  • Order Management: A real-time system for customers to place orders by table, which appear live in your admin dashboard.
  • Admin Dashboard: Revenue analytics, order tracking, customer insights, cancellation reports, and menu management tools.
  • Menu Management: Ability to create, update, and delete menu categories, items, add-ons, and images.
  • Restaurant Profile: A customisable profile with logo, FSSAI number, outlet code, and contact information.
  • Promotions & Offers: Tools to set item-level discounts, banners, and special offers visible to customers on the menu.

Features may be added, modified, or discontinued at Hrestro's discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of significant changes.

3. Restaurant Accounts & Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate information during registration, including your restaurant name, address, contact number, and FSSAI license number where applicable.
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your admin account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at hrestro.official@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • You are responsible for all menu content (names, descriptions, images, prices) that you publish through Hrestro. Content must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading to customers.
  • You agree not to use Hrestro to publish content that is illegal, defamatory, offensive, or violates the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of allergen information, dietary tags (veg/non-veg/egg), and pricing displayed to your customers.

4. Customer Orders & Platform Role

Hrestro facilitates orders placed by customers at your restaurant via QR menus. We act as a technology intermediary — not as a food delivery service, payment processor, or party to the transaction between your restaurant and your customer.

  • All order fulfilment, pricing, refunds, and customer service responsibilities rest entirely with the restaurant owner.
  • Customer personal details (name, mobile number, table number) shared during ordering are collected on your behalf and must be handled responsibly and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Hrestro is not liable for disputes between restaurants and their customers related to food quality, pricing, delivery, or refunds.

5. Fees & Plans

Hrestro currently offers access during its early-stage launch phase. Pricing plans, if any, will be communicated clearly before being applied to your account. We reserve the right to introduce subscription plans, feature gating, or usage limits in the future.

  • Any paid plans introduced will be clearly described with features and pricing before purchase.
  • Fees once paid are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise or required under applicable Indian law.
  • Hrestro is not responsible for taxes, GST, or government levies applicable to your restaurant's business operations.

6. Intellectual Property

The Hrestro platform, including its codebase, UI design, branding, logo, and proprietary features, are the exclusive intellectual property of Hrestro and its founders. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute any part of the platform without express written permission.

Content that you upload (restaurant logos, food images, menu text) remains your property. By uploading content to Hrestro, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, process, and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

7. Termination

You may close your Hrestro restaurant account at any time by contacting us at hrestro.official@gmail.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if:

  • You breach any provision of these Terms.
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity through the platform.
  • Continued operation of your account poses a risk to Hrestro, other users, or their customers.

Upon termination, your access to the dashboard and published menus will be disabled.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability

Hrestro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep the platform reliable, we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, error-free operation, or data security under all circumstances.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hrestro and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Interruptions in service or platform downtime.
  • Loss of data resulting from technical failures.
  • Disputes between restaurants and their customers.
  • Misuse of the platform by the restaurant owner or their staff.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of Hrestro shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delhi, India. By using Hrestro, you consent to this jurisdiction.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms here with an updated "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we will notify registered restaurant owners via their registered email address. Continued use of Hrestro after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
